Anger and Flame along with Peace and....Trees? (CHARLOTTE/OPEN TO ALL)

((this is not actually in/on the Dancing Lawn, it is closer to the Great River, but still in the woods))

Adia was poised and ready to shoot. She was in the forest surrounding a large plain and there was a doe about five feet in front of her with an injured leg. Which was perfect because Adia could put it put of it's misery and have something to eat. She pulled the bowstring a little more and just as she let loose the arrow something in the forest moved and the doe ran away. Her arrow hit a near by tree. She stalked over and yanked the arrow out with so much force that she nearly fell to the ground. After regaining her balance, she realized that the sound was familiar because it was the sound of hooves on leaves. She heard the sound again and tensed, there were several things that it could be; a faun, a horse and it’s rider, a minotaur. Adia drew her bow and headed towards the sound the sound, eager to see what it was.

Her footsteps made very little sound as she approached, and the rustling of the trees covered any sound that was made. She caught sight of the doe that she had been tracking for hours. It now lay dead on the ground surrounded by blood, it appeared to be partially eaten. Anger coursed through her veins. Her eyes flashed red, but quickly returned to a pale green. A familiar tickling sensation began in her fingers, a small flame appeared. With great difficulty she tried to prevent the flame from growing. Finally the flame was extinguished and Adia took a deep breath, trying to calm herself. It worked a little, but she was still angry.

Adia starred at the corpse, breathing hard; her internal battle against the uncontrollable outbursts she had was becoming easier, but it was still hard. She wondered what could be lurking in the trees before her. She had just added Griffin to the list of possibilities when she saw the animal. Ironically, it was a griffin. Adia drew the bow to a little past her ear and waited for the beast to see her, and maybe then she’d get a fight. It obviously hadn’t seen or heard her yet, so Adia coughed deliberately. The griffin turned around slowly upon hearing the cough. It had a surprised look on its face, as if it had been expecting someone else. The griffin froze when it saw Adia’s arrow. “Explain why you killed my doe. Now, before this arrow goes into your skull.” Adia said, her voice was calm and sharp, if the griffin didn’t speak soon she would kill it.

Sorin was taking forever. He has hunted by himself for a while now, he was very good at it, as he needed to to survive. Charlie knew he could stay out there for hours hunting, he loved it because he was free. He wasn't being ridden, and having a voice would ruin every thing. Yes hunting was his pleaser, but he always came back after a few hours for Charlie's sake. She was getting fidgety and simply impatient.

She left camp and went on a sort of stake out. She came to a random spot and in a few moments stood a spindly young pine. She was there for a while, swaying gently in the soft breeze, it was quite a lovely day, even better if the sun would shine. She almost fell asleep with all he swaying and doing nothing, but then she saw it. A streak of feathers, Sorin. He went by so fast she didn't have time to turn back into human form, and while she was in mid transformation she saw another figure racing past, it was a girl. Charlie was off. She is chasing Sorin, she is hunting him. it was a vile act but not unheard of.

Charlie raced, dodging trees and neatly jumping logs and shrubs. She had no time to string her bow, no she would have to figure something else out. She came to a little clearing, and there was Sorin...with an arrow at his head. She was asking him questions, but he couldn't talk being born a mute, but she didn't know that, and Sorin couldn't say anything about it.

Charlie was at a loss, she became slightly frantic, her eyes searched for something any thing, if she had a branch or something...then her expression changed, an "ah ha" face, her self. She bounced alittle on her toes, and ran picking up speed silently. She was apart of the forest, and knew it well. When she got to a good spot she launched herself at the girls back, and hit her hard, hopefully brining her down.

Adia sensed something behind her and turned just it time to be tackled by someone. As she fell, time seemed to slow and she aught every detail of her surroundings. Her attacker had dark green/brown eyes and a scar on the edge of one of them. She seemed tree-like and Adia recognized her as a dryad. Adia slammed to the ground. There was a rock digging into her right shoulder blade and she could feel the thin leather strap that she had tied the end of her braid with.

The anger that she had struggled to control earlier now boiled up inside of her. Her eyes turned a reddish colour, like last time, but only this time they did not turn back to green. She had a small but cruel smile on her face. Burn, dryad, burn. She thought as fire danced along her fingertips.

Rachelle caught a whiff of the sweet smell of food. She hadn't eaten in a few days and the smell was very inviting to her. She searched the semifamilier woods until she found it: a doe. Freshly killed but sadly half eaten. She examined the teeth marks which were obviously not human. Hoping to find this larger animal, she set off after the fresh smell of a ..human? Ah, there was someone else trying to hunt the animal as well. Maybe not human, but someone in human form. She faintly heard the sound of people running not to far away, this would be easy, tracking was easy for her. Even if being on land was not her strong suit, she would be able to catch up. After not even five minutes of searching she found two girls ...on top of each other.

This was very peculiar, were they both hunting the animal? No, this looked different, something was amiss. She readied her bow and sat back watching them, making her decision. She decided she would have to wait for one of them to hunt it and she could follow them and steal some of the meat later, it was to dangerous to run after it right now. She knew she couldn't stay there for long, one would notice her, but she wanted to figure out what she was up against.

Anger sparked inside Charlie, and sparks + trees equals bad. She simply had to get the girl away from Sorin, then she felt it. The heat coming from the girls fingers which were griping Charlie's arm. Efreet she thought. Oh yes, and the firey kind at that. What are you supposed to do when on fire? Stop drop and roll right? Well she was already on the ground so she threw her weight hard to the right, rolling down the hill.

Sorin was out of the way as far as she knew she could only manage to say "Fly Sorin Fly!" threw her fighting. Sorin must not of taken her advice be cause suddenly Sorin hit them hard. Charlotte couldn't help letting out an "OOf!" She felt herself being pried away from the girl with a sharp beak, but she was determined not to let go.

Adia felt herself roll as the girl threw her weight to down the hill. The girl shouted something, it sounded like 'fly, Sorin, fly,' but Adia wasn't completely sure. The idea struck her that this Dryad was in the same league as the griffin and the idea made her furious. The flames began to grow and turn white as the heat increased. Where ever they rolled the ground began to steam. The dryad let out an off as something slammed into them. It was the griffin. She felt the dryad being pried away from her and she tightened her grip. When she realized that the griffin was trying to pull the dryad out of her grip, Adia threw her weight to the side and they rolled even further down the hill.

Adia stared at the clearish green thing they were rushing towards and realized that it was a river. She had just enough time to hold her breath when they plunged into the icy water. The current pulled Adia under and she dragged the dryad down with her. The water around them boiled from Adia's flame, they now flowed like water off her arms and died when they no longer touched her. Well that is interesting, Adia though, having never tried to keep a flame going under water before.

Rachelle sat back and watched and then ...a griffin came into the frenzy. Catching its scent, Forrest realized that's what she was hunting. However.... it seemed to be protecting the non fire girl, a dryad it looked like. She could no longer sit there, so she decided to throw herself into the throng. She decided to side with the griffin and dryad it would be safest, otherwise there was no guaranteed survival. But she did not wish to harm the other girl, no, she looked like she knew important information. Timidly, she took a step out of her cover, but the efreet brought them to some water. Not smart Ellie grinned evilly. She made a tremendous leap until the water engulfed her. She became the current and split the three apart.

Being in the water again was making her stronger. She showed her form, stronger looking now than the frail hungry body she was in earlier. She set them apart and looked at the Dryad and Efreet in turn before saying. "What the hell is going on?" She did not expect an immediate answer and she wasn't quite sure why she said it, but she needed to say something, her magical appearance couldn't be dismissed.

Water. Blessed water that freed her from the fiery tendrals coming from her opponent. Indeed the other girl, who turned out to be a naiad it seems, joined their fight, actually splitting them all up, but the current was fast. Charlotte was getting pushed under and around by a wet flailing griffin. Griffins hate getting their wings soaked, it makes them heavier than they already are and drags them down. Charlotte plunged down under the blue waters, all she saw was feet wings and claws scrambling around. She managed to get her head up breifly so she could another breath of clear air but she was soon drug under yet again with the same panicy feeling, eyes searching for a rock or other hand hold. She finally couldn't keep her head up so she dug her feet down. Into the river bottom she plunged her feet, and quickly turning into roots, diving deeper into he ground.

Her torso grew taller and thicker, strong against the rushing current that coursed around her. Being a tree she couldn't answer the naiad, only reach out to Sorin with one of her bigger boughs and keep him also from falling under the cold rushing current. And in that second she also saw the Efreet go swirling by, quickly she shot out another branch, scooping her up and supporting her and the griffin sticking out of the rushing river, an interesting sight to behold.
